What is Metallix - Pearlescent Metallic 100% Solids Epoxy Floor Coating?

Metallix floor coating is a 100% solids, two component epoxy. It is a special formulated epoxy with a pearlescent metallic pigment. It is roller or squeegee applied to your floor. This coating requires a primer coat, metallic 100% solids epoxy basecoat, an optional UV resistant urethane or 100% Solids epoxy clearcoat.

The finished look is a smooth, glass like finsh that has a unique and subtle sparkle. No two floors will ever look the same. There are endless creative techniques that can be used to create a style that you can call your own.

In this picture example, the technique used to get the crater look is by using MEK (contractor only chemical). You can apply the MEK on the basecoat application by using a spray bottle or or from the product container itself. After the MEK was applied, we used a leaf blower to move effect around. Each floor application is totally unique and had endless creative possibilities.

In these four examples to the left; you can choose from any of our 21 Metallix effects colors. You can create numerous type of color combinations as listed below: Two-Tone Effect a two-tone metallic effect which is the basecoat color plus a single Metallix effect color on top. Same Color Effect A same color effect can be achieved by using the same color Metallix basecoat and Metallix effect. Two Color Effect Two color effects are acheived by using a Metallix basecoat with two different metallix effects colors on top. We limit the maxium number or Metallix effects colors in our store to three. We've tested that any more than three colors become to busy and muddy. We recommend only using two colors but if you would like a third, it is available.
